Serviced December 2023, hand polished 14k white gold filled case, two-tone gilt and coral dial, superb patina, unworn genuine leather strap, NOS double thick mineral glass crystal, alloy mainspring.
Hamilton produced the Ross from 1939 through 1946. The early models used Hamilton's 980 caliber movement. In 1940, the Ross was offered with additional dial and case materials, one of which was white gold case and gilt and coral dial with a 982 movement. The case and bezel on this example are 14k white gold filled and have been hand polished. The dial exhibits even patina. The Hamilton logo and sub seconds paint is excellent. Some of the paint is faded on the roman numeral hour markers. The original hands are blue. This Hamilton Ross comes ready to wear on a brand new black leather two piece strap with silver tone buckle and contrasting stitching. The 982 small seconds movement was serviced December 2023 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 40 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k white gold filled bezel and case back. Some fine scratching on the front of the bezel. Minor plate wear on the corners.
Lugs - No noticeable plate wear. Drilled lugs.
Crystal - NOS double thick mineral glass crystal installed as part of the full servicing December 2023.
Hands - Original blue hands with patina.
Dial - Two tone gilt and coral dial, roman numeral hour markers. Honest and even patina across the dial. Sunken small seconds dial at the 6 o'clock. All the original paint in excellent condition other than some fading around the hour numerals.
Band - Unworn, black leather strap with silver toned clasp and contrasting stitching.
Movement - Hamilton American made 982 caliber, 14/0 size, manual wind, 19 jewels. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
