1971 Hamilton Day 'N Date 5000

Serviced November 2023, Swiss made automatic movement, day and date window at 3 o'clock, excellent silver dial, hand polished one piece stainless steel case, NOS acrylic crystal, stainless steel expansion bracelet, signed crown, alloy mainspring.

Made for three years from 1971 through 1973, the Hamilton Day 'n Date 5000 watch comes with a Swiss (AS) made automatic 641 caliber movement with day/date complication at 3 o'clock. The date is quick set by pushing the crown in to advance the date. The silver dial is excellent with some very minor patina visible under magnification. The painted minute track is excellent, as are the applied silver markers with black enamel accents. The paint for the Hamilton and 'H' logo and automatic script branding is in excellent condition. The pips at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions have been relumed. The original silver hands are excellent and have been relumed as well. The crown is signed. A NOS domed acrylic crystal was installed during service. The watch is ready to wear on a stainless steel expansion bracelet. The Swiss (AS) made 17 jewel caliber 641 automatic movement was fully serviced November 2023 and is running strong and currently performing at +/- 8 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished one piece stainless steel case. Some fine scratching.

Lugs - In excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.

Crystal - NOS domed acrylic crystal installed during November 2023 service.

Hands - Appear to be original and have been relumed.

Dial - Excellent silver dial. Applied silver tone markers with black enamel accents. Painted Hamilton, 'H' logo, and script automatic branding. Painted minute track.

Band - Stainless steel expansion bracelet.

Movement - Swiss (AS) made Hamilton automatic caliber 641, 17 jewels, day/date. Fully serviced November 2023. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
