1972 Hamilton Dateline A-595

Serviced December 2023, Swiss made automatic movement, quick change date, excellent black dial with applied hour markers, hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back, original bracelet with monogrammed clasp, signed crown, acrylic crystal.

Hamilton introduced the Dateline series of watches in 1963. The lineup included automatic as well as manual wind movements, but all models had a calendar complication. The Dateline A-595 model was produced for two years in 1972 through 1973. This example is powered by a Swiss (ETA) made automatic 820 caliber movement, with the date at the 3 o'clock. The black dial is excellent with no patina evident. The applied silver markers with black enamel accents are excellent. The paint across the entire dial and the applied Hamilton logo are also mint. The silver hands are good. The red sweep second hand is excellent. The white chapter ring is has red painted minute markers. Both the dial and the hour and minute hands were relumed during service. High domed acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of defects during service. The watch is ready to wear on its original stainless steel bracelet. The clasp is monogrammed. The Swiss (ETA) made 820 automatic movement was fully serviced December 2023 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 9 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished stainless steel case and screw down case back. Some minor scratching on case and case back. Factory brushing still visible on the front bezel.

Lugs - Integrated into the cushion case and in excellent condition with minor scratching.

Crystal - High domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear during full servicing in December 2023.

Hands - Appear to be original with very light patina developing. Black accents are excellent. Hour and minute hands relumed December 2023.

Dial - Matte black dial. Applied silver hour markers with black enamel accents. Painted Hamilton logo and selfwinding text. Painted minute track. Paint on the dial is in excellent condition. Hour markers relumed December 2023.

Bracelet - Original stainless steel bracelet. Clasp is monogrammed:
