1947 Hamilton Boulton

Serviced September 2024, very good silver dial with 18k gold applied numbers. Hand polished 14k gold filled case, genuine leather unworn strap, NOS acrylic crystal, signed crown, alloy mainspring.

Produced from 1940 through 1952, this is one of Hamilton's most popular models. The design is so timeless, Hamilton reintroduced the Boulton as a quartz watch in their modern lineup. This Boulton features an American made 982 caliber manual mind movement with 19 jewels. The serial number stamped on the barrel bridge (J388969) indicates the watch was produced in 1947. The original silver dial is in very good condition. The paint for the minute track is in near mint condition, as is the paint for the sub seconds dial and the Hamilton logo. There is little light patina evident across the dial. A NOS acrylic crystal was installed during service September 2024. The hand polished 10k gold filled case shows some fine scratching and plate wear on the reverse side of the lugs. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn brown genuine leather strap with contrasting stitches, and gold tone hardware. The 982 manual wind movement was serviced September 2024 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 15 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k gold filled bezel and case back. Some fine scratching on the bezel.

Lugs - Plate wear on the edges of the lugs on the reverse side.

Crystal - NOS acrylic crystal installed as part of the full servicing in September 2024.

Hands - Appear to be original with light patina. 

Dial - Original silver dial with gold applied Arabic numerals. Hamilton logo, sub seconds track, and minute track paint in excellent condition.

Strap - Unworn genuine brown leather strap with contrasting stitches, gold tone hardware.

Movement - American made Hamilton caliber 982, manual wind, 19 jewels. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
