1958 Hamilton Keane

1958 Hamilton Keane

Serviced December 2018, light patina on the grooved dial, 10k rolled gold bezel, stainless steel case back, signed Hamilton crown, unworn leather strap, acrylic crystal.

Hamilton produced the Keane for just four years, from 1958 through 1961. The Keane is powered by a Swiss (A.S.) made manual wind movement with sub seconds at the 6 o'clock. The unique embossed (grooved) white dial has some patina, most notably along the bottom edge, and has gold applied numerals and markers. The paint for the Hamilton logo and the sub seconds bullseye is in excellent condition. The 10k rolled gold bezel has some minor scratches, as does the stainless steel case back. The thick acrylic crystal provides incredible distortion and combined with the grooved texture of the dial, the watch plays with the light beautifully. The watch comes ready to wear on a brand new, unworn, brown leather croc print strap with gold tone buckle. The watch is currently running well and reading +/- 8 seconds per day.
