1965 Hamilton Accumatic A-506
1965 Hamilton Accumatic A-506
Serviced April 2023, Swiss made automatic movement, excellent original linen textured silver dial, hand polished one piece stainless steel case, NOS acrylic crystal, alloy mainspring.
Made for eight years from 1965 through 1972, the Hamilton Accumatic A-506 watch comes with a Swiss (ETA) made automatic 689A caliber movement. The silver dial on this example has a linen texture that was discontinued by Hamilton in the 1968 catalog, indicating this watch could have been made sometime between 1965 and 1967. The original dial is in excellent condition with very few fine specs of patina, most being visible only under magnification. The applied silver numerals and markers are excellent. The paint for the Hamilton and 'H' logo, automatic script branding, and minute track is in minty condition. The silver hands are good, with light patina visible. Hands and dial have been relumed. The watch is ready to wear on an unworn black two piece genuine leather strap with silver toned buckle. The Swiss (ETA) made 17 jewel caliber 689A automatic movement was fully serviced April 2023 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 11 seconds per day.
