Hamilton's Thinline series of watches was first introduced in 1958 and was produced all the way through 1974. Made for four years from 1968 through 1971, the Thinline 4009 comes with a manual wind Swiss made Hamilton caliber 639 movement with 17 jewels and a sub seconds hand. The silver dial is in excellent condition with very minor patina visible. The dial is vertically brushed. The painted cross hairs at the sub seconds and the Hamilton logo and Hamilton brand script are painted and are in mint condition. The painted 12 is excellent as are the black accented hour markers. The hands are original with little to no patina and have black accents down the middle. The 10k gold filled one piece case has been hand polished with some fine scratching. A low domed NOS acrylic crystal was installed during service. The watch comes ready to wear on an unworn lizard print genuine leather strap with gold tone buckle. The 639 manual wind movement was serviced February 2025 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 12 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 10k gold filled single piece case. There is no visible plate wear, some fine scratching on case back. Plate wear on the crown.
Lugs - In excellent condition with no visible plate wear.
Crystal - NOS low domed acrylic crystal installed during January 2025 service.
Hands - Distinctive original hands. Little to no patina.
Dial - Vertically brushed silver dial with applied markers and minute track with painted accents. Paint on the dial is in mint condition.
Band - Brand new unworn lizard print genuine leather strap with gold tone buckle.
Movement - Swiss made Hamilton caliber 639, manual wind, 17 jewels. Fully serviced February 2025. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
