1975 Hamilton Auto Date Hawk

Serviced September 2024, Swiss made automatic movement, quick set day/date, brown dial, gilt outer track, painted minute markers, applied hour markers, hand polished 14k gold plated case and stainless steel screw down case back, mineral glass crystal, original Hamilton stainless bracelet, alloy mainspring, signed crown. 

Made for just three years from 1975 through 1977, the Hamilton Auto Date Hawk was offered in stainless steel as well as 14k electroplated gold. The gold plated version came with a brown enamel dial. This watch comes with a Swiss (ETA) made automatic 827 caliber movement with a quick change day/date complication at the 3 o'clock position. This watch also hand winds. The dial is excellent with a brown enamel field with fine cracks (spidering), most noticeable under magnification. The applied gilt markers with black accents are excellent as are the painted minute markers. The applied gilt markers are excellent and have been relumed. The original painted hands are excellent and have also been relumed. The watch is ready to wear on an original Hamilton gold plated bracelet with signed clasp. The Swiss (ETA) made 17 jewel caliber 827 automatic movement was fully serviced September 2024 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 7 seconds per day.

Case - Hand polished 14k gold electro plated case and stainless steel screw down case back. Some fine scratching consistent with age. Signed Hamilton crown.

Lugs - In excellent condition with no major defects. Some light scratching.

Crystal - Flat mineral glass crystal.

Hands - Appear to be original. Hour and minute hands were relumed during September 2024 service. Paint is excellent. 

Dial - Gloss brown field with gilt outer track. Applied gilt hour markers, black painted minute track. Hour markers have been relumed. Painted Hamilton and selfwinding branding in excellent condition. Brown field has some hairline cracks, not noticeable unless upon close inspection.

Bracelet - Original Hamilton gold plated bracelet with signed clasp.

Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton automatic caliber 827, 17 jewels, day/date with quick set. Hand winds. Fully serviced September 2024. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
