October 1969 Hamilton GG-W-113
October 1969 Hamilton GG-W-113
Serviced October 2022, manual wind hacking movement, near mint black dial and hands, relumed hands and hour pips, one piece parkerized stainless steel case, green NATO strap with stainless buckle, acrylic crystal.
Hamilton made watches for the US Military under various specifications, one of which was the GG-W-113. The GG-W-113 version of the spec was released in 1967 and, since it was issued to pilots, omitted the H3 and radiation markings found on its field watch equivalent to improve legibility. The GG-W-113 also came with higher quality manual wind movement with 17 jewels and a hack feature, providing the ability for pilots to stop the watch to set the precise time. This watch comes with the manual wind, 17 jewel caliber 685 with a center sweep seconds hand. The matte finished black dial is in near mint condition. The numerals and minute track are painted. The paint across the entire dial is mint. The dial and hands have all been relumed during service October 2022. The domed acrylic crystal has been polished clean and clear of any major defects. Minor scratching on the crown and a few dings on the lugs. The watch is ready to wear on an olive drab nylon NATO strap with stainless steel buckle. The manual wind movement was fully serviced October 2022 and is running well and currently performing at +/- 20 seconds per day.
